The equivalent for ‘Durood’ in Arabic is ‘Salaah’, which means <br /><br />blessings, mercy and supplications. <br /><br />Reciting<br />(‘sallallahu alyihi wa sallam’) whenever the name of the Prophet [saw] is heard, written or read is an act of great virtue and excellence.
