May 15th 2011 marked the grand opening of Galaxy Macau, a US$ 2 billion integrated resort on Cotai, close to the Venetian Macao and City of Dreams. This was the biggest opening event for the past two years – but ceremony itself was a very low-key affair for a property this big. The buzz was clearly saved for an array of special features and attractions inside.
