He called for the return of the Dalai Lama and Tibetan freedom.<br /><br />Twenty-nine-year-old Tsewang Norbu was said to have drank and poured gasoline over himself before setting himself on fire. He is believed to have died at the scene.<br /><br />Shortly after, telephone lines and the Internet were cut, likely in an effort to stop news of the self-immolation from spreading.<br /><br />Tsewang's death comes less than six months after another monk set himself on fire, which sparked massive protests.
