The event took place in Soma City, just 24 miles from the country's now famous nuclear Fukushima plant.<br/> One of the harder hit areas, Soma lost 459 people. In addition to those losses, Japan has suffered great uncertainly due to radiation concerns from Fukushima.<br/> Mounted samurai in traditional armor also participated in the event and Soma's mayor rallied the crowd to focus on better days ahead.<br/> Deborah Gembara, Reuters.
