Generally on a wrongful death claim the individual's estate will be making a claim for that individual had they lived. That can include their medical bills, lost wages, if there was some survivorship pain and suffering, and ultimately you look at what the beneficiaries have lost relative to that individual. But anyone can bring a wrongful death claim, as long as they are qualified as a personal representative.
