At least 11 people were killed when their bus hit a light pole, leaving another 13 injured.<br /><br />In Shanghai's Pudong district on Wednesday night, a bus crash leaves eleven dead and 13 injured. It's the deadliest automobile accident Shanghai has seen in years.<br /><br />The vehicle was traveling at high speed along the Pudong outer-ring expressway, when it overturned shortly before 9pm. On board were 24 passengers, seven of whom died instantly. The rest were rescued and rushed to hospital by authorities.<br /><br />The cause of the crash is still being looked into, but initial investigations suggest another vehicle overtook the bus, causing the driver to lose control, crashing into a light pole and overturning.<br /><br />The bus was a staff vehicle owned by Shanghai electronics manufacturer Inventec. All of those on board at the time were employees.
