Neil Patrick Harris gets Hollywood star

Longtime television actor Neil Patrick Harris received the 2,448th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Thursday (September 15), honoring him for his work in television, film, and theater.<br/> Harris first became widely known for his starring role in the 1989-93 television program "Doogie Howser, M.D.," in which he played a teenage wunderkind doctor.<br/> He has received four Emmy nominations for outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series for his portrayal of the womanizing Barney Stinson on "How I Met Your Mother."
