Rough Cut (no reporter narration)
Libyan government fighters - taking a break from the push into Sirte - found and looted luxury cars belonging to the regime of Muammar Gaddafi on Sunday.
The cars were classical-looking, white convertibles, with metal grids on the front, two seats and an antiquated-appearing steering wheel.
The fighters joyously jumped into the vehicles, crying "presidents drive these cars" and "this is Gaddafi's car".
Libyan government forces seized several landmark targets inside Gaddafi's hometown on Sunday and overnight on Saturday. Fighters took control of a partially demolished palace belonging to Muammar Gaddafi in his hometown of Sirte on Sunday after heavy fighting resulted in anti-Gaddafi fighters capturing most landmarks in the coastal town.
The residence was heavily damaged when fighters arrived, likely a combination of strikes from Libyan ground forces and NATO air power that has helped a pro-democracy rebellion against Gaddafi's 42 year rule.
