A father in Michigan faces charges of child abuse after reportedly letting his nine-year-old daughter drive his van as his designated driver.<br/> Surveillance video from a gas station shows a red van pulling up to a gas pump - before a young girl jumps out from the front seat.<br/> The girl and her father - Shawn Weimer - walked into the store - where Weimer allegedly said he was drunk and his nine-year-old was driving.<br/> A witness called authorities and followed the vehicle until police pulled them over.<br/> Local media reported a police officer said the young girl had asked why she was pulled over - as her driving was "good."<br/> Weimer - who appeared in court on Tuesday - had told authorities he had taken his daughter for a driving lesson - and refused a breathalyzer.<br/> The girl reportedly told police her father had been drinking whiskey all night.<br/> Sarah Irwin, Reuters.
