PLEASE NOTE: THIS EDIT CONTAINS CONVERTED 4:3 MATERIAL<br/> It's the end of the road for Westlife.<br/> After a successful career that spanned 14 years, the Irish boyband calls it quits.<br/> Westlife announced their decision to split on Wednesday and said they will each go their own way after a final farewell tour next year.<br/> During a career that had fans watch the quartet grow from teenagers to young men, Westfile scored a total of 14 British number one singles, sold over 44 million albums world-wide and had seven of their eleven albums hit the top spot in Britain.<br/> The band which originally comprised five members was put together by pop impresario and X-Factor judge Louis Walsh. cc<br/> One of its members, Bryan McFadden, left in 2004 but the band continued on as a foursome, releasing six more albums.<br/> Westlife said on Wednesday their second greatest hits album, due out in November, would be their last.<br/> They will play a nine-date farewell tour next year, due to end in Glasgow in May but there are currently no plans for a concert in their native Ireland.<br/> Mirja Mey, Reuters
