Thousands of Syrians turn out, Sunday, for a rally in support of President Bashar al-Assad.<br/> They pack the streets of a town south of Damascus, waving flags and chanting slogans in support of the embattled leader.<br/> SOUNDBITE (Arabic) UNIDENTIFIED MALE SYRIAN PROTESTER, SAYING:<br/> "We are and always will be with our leader Dr. Bashar al-Assad, always."<br/> Assad faces increasing international pressure to end a violent crackdown against anti-government protesters that has left 3,000 people dead.<br/> Seen here in file video, he has just warned that Western powers risk causing an "earthquake" across the Middle East if they intervene in the country.<br/> On Sunday, officials from the Arab League are expected to open talks with Syria on ending the violence.<br/> Andrew Raven, Reuters
