Crew arrested in Indonesia boat tragedy

Indonesian rescue crews set off again, searching for bodies and possible survivors from Tuesday's tragedy.<br/> The bodies of eight women and children have so far been pulled out of the water off the coast of West Java, after a boat carrying asylum seekers capsized.<br/> Scores though are still missing.<br/> The overcrowded vessel is reported to have been carrying over 70 people, from Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan, en route to Australia to claim asylum.<br/> On Thursday, police arrested the three crew members.<br/> During questioning, one of them admitted the boat has a capacity for only 30 passengers.<br/> Survivors are now staying at a local shelter, while 15 people are still being treated at a nearby local community health centre.<br/> Indonesian police say that thousands have died in recent years due to sinking boats as they attempt the treacherous crossing to Australia to seek asylum.<br/> Simon Hanna, Reuters.
