New action adventure 'Immortals' had its world premiere in Los Angeles on Monday.<br/> In attendance were the film's main stars Mickey Rourke, Henry Cavill, and Freida Pinto.<br/> "Immortals" is an epic tale of treachery, vengeance and destiny. The 3D action movie stars Henry Cavill as a heroic young villager who rises up against a power-hungry king, played by Mickey Rourke. Rourke's challenge is to find a legendary weapon in ancient Greece.<br/> Getting ready for the film meant the cast had to spend a lot of time in the gym.<br/> SOUNDBITE Henry Cavill, actor, saying (English):<br/> "The most important part in the early phase was the physical side. The director was very clear that I had to not be chubby like I was when I screen tested and a six-pack was not good enough, it was an 8-pack. So the physical was the initial hurdle which I had to attack and that became a staple throughout shooting as well."<br/> Having Mickey Rourke to work with was a great opportunity for Cavill to learn a trick or two.<br/> SOUNDBITE Henry Cavill, actor, saying (English):<br/> "Not really intimidating. You work with all types of people and he is a veteran actor so you actually get to learn from him as well. There is definitely a beneficial thing as opposed to otherwise."<br/> Freida Pinto, who plays a young Greek goddess in the film, said she knew what she was getting into when she signed onto the project.<br/> SOUNDBITE Freida Pinto, actress, saying (English):<br/> "I do realize when I took on the project that it was about the boys. So, it was all about Henry's character, so I knew that it was not going to be difficult I knew what the story was all about. Moreover, I had Isabel to keep me company. So, there were only two girls on the set so it was easy."<br/> 'Immortals' opens in cinemas on November 11.<br/> Mirja Mey, Reuters
