Protesters storm Kuwaiti parliament

2011-11-17 50 Dailymotion

Hundreds of protesters outside Kuwait's parliament chant, "The people want to bring down the prime minister."
They're demanding the removal of Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser al-Mohammad al-Sabah, whom they accuse of corruption.
Dozens of people managed to force their way inside parliament, including opposition lawmakers who have been amongst those demonstrating against the government each week.
The chants echo those of protesters in Egypt who in February forced President Hosni Mubarak to step down.
Kuwait has escaped the mass unrest which has swept the Arab world, largely thanks to a generous welfare system, but opposition to Sheikh Nasser has been growing.
In May, two lawmakers attempted to question Sheikh Nasser over alleged misuse of public funds, a charge he denies.
Nick Rowlands, Reuters.
