ROUGH CUT - NO REPORTER NARRATION<br/> U.S. President Barack Obama and Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard laid a wreath each at the USS Peary War Memorial in Darwin.<br/> The USS Peary was bombed and sunk in Darwin harbour on 19th February 1942, killing 80 men.<br/> The memorial is one of the guns recovered from the wreck.<br/> Obama is in Darwin to address troops after he and Gillard announced the deployment of U.S. Marines, ships and aircraft in Darwin, only 820 km (500 miles) from Indonesia.<br/> Later on Thursday, Obama will fly to the Indonesian Island of Bali to attend the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit.
