Some minor scuffles occurred.<br/> In the streets around, police fired tear gas at protesters who retaliated by throwing rocks.<br/> Friday's protest was aimed at pressing Egypt's military rulers to transfer power to elected civilians after the cabinet launched a move to exempt the army from parliamentary oversight.
