Clashes broke out during a protest in Santiago against a tribute to a former military official from the bloody dictatorship of General Augusto Pinochet.<br/> Miguel Krassnoff is considered to be among the most notorious of Pinochet's officials.<br/> Angry demonstrators threw eggs and dirt at a group of Krassnoff supporters.<br/> He is being held in a military prison serving his sentence of 144 years for human rights crimes.<br/> The Pinochet dictatorship left some 3000 people dead or missing and thousands tortured.<br/> Marie-Claire Fennessy, Reuters
