Date: Thursday 10th November 2011 <br />Speaker: Andriy Haydys (Bielefeld). <br />Title: Higher dimensional gauge theory and Fueter maps. <br /> <br />Abstract: I will describe a generalization of the anti-self-duality equations for manifolds with exceptional holonomies due to Donaldson and Thomas. Under certain circumstances, higher dimensional instantons can degenerate to Fueter maps, which constitute a class of harmonic maps between hyperKaehler manifolds.
