Somali famers begin road to recovery

The drought that swept the Horn of Africa turned several southern Somali regions into famine zones, but a small farming region near the Ethiopian border was spared. A FAO-sponsored project last year helped clear nine hectares of land, and now farmers are able to sell their produce in the local market. The UN says if more projects like this were in existence, thousands of lives would have been saved, as well as millions of dollars. Duration: 02:22
