It was supposed to help the environment... but it went seriously wrong.<br/> A fire set by the Department of Environment and Conservation in Western Australia in order to help preserve the ecosystem spun out of control....<br/> At least 20 homes have been burnt to the ground... charred and splintered structures are all that remain.<br/> Hundreds of people were evacuated-- and although fire brigades are working around the clock to control the flames, officials say the worse might not be over.<br/> High winds in the forecast for coming days could further spread the flames.<br/> Luckily, no injuries have been reported.<br/> Julie Noce, Reuters
