Alexander McQueen designer Sarah Burton topped off an exciting year with the biggest prize at the British Fashion Awards.<br/> She won 'Designer of the Year', no doubt, in part to scooping one of the biggest fashion assignments in history - that of Kate Middleton's wedding dress.<br/> SOUNDBITE: Sarah Burton, Alexander Mcqueen Designer, saying (English):<br/> "It's an incredible honour, incredible honour."<br/> Victoria Beckham won 'Designer Brand of the Year' after only starting her own label three years in 2008.<br/> The former Spice Girl became emotional as she accepted her award on stage.<br/> SOUNDBITE: Victoria Beckham, Designer, On Winning Award, saying (English):<br/> "This is such a big deal for me. It really is. I can't thank my team enough. Without them, I wouldn't be in this position. And my husband and my kids. I always dreamed this would happen one day but it really is a dream come true."<br/> Kate Hudson announced the Red Carpet Designer of the Year award to her good friend Stella McCartney.<br/> Other winners included Alexa Chung for 'British Style' and Christopher Kane won the 'New Establishment' award.<br/> Afterwards guests including Marc Jacobs, Colin and Livia Firth and Kate Moss partied the night away in true British style.<br/> Cindy Martin, Reuters
