Another of me playing the wonderful 2 manual 6 rank Wurlitzer organ at the Theatre Organ Heritage Centre in Peel Green, Manchester.<br /><br />As well as various percussion instruments, cinema organs were equipped with effects to accompany silent movies like sirens, bird whistles, horse hooves etc. One such effect was the "door bell" and I make use of this and also the Bass Drum in the theme tune from the childrens television theme tune - "Postman Pat"!!!<br /><br />For me, this is what the theatre organ is all about - fun, unusual, exciting - a real musical box of tricks!<br /><br />Many thanks to Peter Taylor for allowing me access to this fantastic instrument.
