At least two Hamas militants are killed by an Israeli air strike on a crowded street in Gaza Thursday.<br/> The Israeli army and local medical officials says two others were also wounded in the attack.<br/> The Islamist party has been in power in Gaza since 2007 and has accused Israel of ratcheting up violence in the area.<br/> An Israeli military spokeswoman confirmed that the two militants were targeted for their part in planning an attack on Israeli civilians and soldiers along the Egyptian border.<br/> An army statement said one of those killed was in a militant group linked to Fatah -- the party which holds power in the West Bank.<br/> The statement said he'd been involved in planning a suicide attack in Eilat in 2007, in which three Israeli civilians were killed.<br/> Deborah Lutterbeck, Reuters.
