ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> North Korea's state-run television KRT on Tuesday (December 20) showed still photos of Kim Jong-il lying in state, visited by his son Jong-un and government officials.<br/> The North's official news agency KCNA said a "solemn" memorial ceremony was held in Pyongyang on Tuesday, to pay respects to the late leader lying in a glass coffin surrounded by flowers.<br/> The North's heir apparent Kim Jong-un, also vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Worker's Party, attended the ceremony, as well as senior officials of the party, state and military.<br/> The reclusive country's official media lauded Jong-un as the "outstanding leader of our party, army and people".<br/> Little is known of Kim Jong-un, who is believed to be in his late 20s, and to have studied briefly at a school in Switzerland.<br/> KRT said Kim Jong-il died on Saturday (December 17) due to a sudden illness while on a train trip.<br/> Kim's funeral is scheduled to be held on December 28.
