Amateur video of Syria appears to show tanks on the street of Homs.<br/> The video, which could not be indpendently verified by Reuters comes amid reports that three people were killed in Homs Sunday.<br/> Homs, a stronghold of the resistance to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, has purportedly witnessed more violence after twin suicide bombings killed 44 people in Damascus on Friday.<br/> More footage shows demonstrators back on the streets across the country.<br/> On Sunday the head of an Arab League mission arrived in Damascus to check Syria's compliance with an Arab peace plan to halt the violence.<br/> The United Nation says more than 5,000 people have been killed in Syria since the uprising began in March.<br/> Assad's opponents have voiced skepticism about the mission. They say they have little confidence that Assad will honor the agreement.<br/> Syrian authorities blame the violence on foreign-backed armed Islamist "terrorists" who they say have killed 2,000 members of Syria's security forces.<br/> Syria has banned most independent media from the country making it difficult to verify accounts from activists or the government.<br/> Deborah Lutterbeck, Reuters
