The scene of a deadly attack in South Sudan.<br/> UN footage shows armed youths running through a town amid scenes of burning homes and dead bodies.<br/> The U.N. had issued warnings about a pending attack ignited by tribal conflict and had urged the government of South Sudan to act to protect civilians.<br/> South Sudan vice president REIK MACHAR TENY called for an end to the cycle of violence.<br/> "When you talk about someone's mistake, do not commit the same mistake. You can not say that you are going to take revenge or destroy a whole community," said Machar.<br/> The UN says dozens were killed in the attacks. It is now urging communities in the region to end ethnic violence and engage in a peace process.<br/> South Sudan split away from Sudan in July under a peace deal that ended decades of civil war.
