Two Britons are among this group of men arrested in Afghanistan for illegal possession of weapons.<br/> The accused were brought out in front of the media with their legs chained.<br/> And this is why the men were detained.<br/> This stash of weapons and ammunition includes around 30 AK-47 rifles.<br/> An Interior Minister spokesman said further investigations are underway.<br/> (SOUNDBITE) (English) SPOKESMAN FOR AFGHAN INTERIOR MINISTRY, SEDIQ SEDIQI:<br/> "Most of these AK-47s, the serial numbers have been removed. So we consider this a crime, a very serious crime and after primary investigations we handed them over to the attorney general office for further investigations."<br/> Afghan police said they believe the rifles belonged to a foreign security firm in Kabul.<br/> Private security firms are meant to be closed by March this year, but some think a police branch intended to take over their work will not be ready in time.<br/> Simon Hanna, Reuters.
