Thousands descend on the Syrian capital Damascus for the funerals of 26 people killed in Friday's bomb blast.<br/> Syrian authorities called the explosion a suicide bomb attack and vowed to respond with an 'iron fist'.<br/> State television showed pictures of the coffins laid out inside a mosque before chanting mourners carried the coffins onto the streets.<br/> The government said 63 people were also wounded in the blast.<br/> Some in the opposition said the government had staged the attack to show that it was fighting random violence instead of a pro-deomcracy movement.<br/> An Arab League committee is due to meet on Sunday to discuss an initial report by Arab observers after nearly 10 months of unrest.<br/> Sunita Rappai, Reuters
