Iran's Revolutionary Court has sentenced an Iranian-American man to death for spying for the CIA.<br/> The semi-official Fars news agency said on Monday that Amir Mirza Hekmati was given the sentence for "cooperating with the [United States] and spying for the CIA".<br/> (SOUNDBITE) (English) U.S.-BORN MAN ACCUSED OF ESPIONAGE, AMIR MIRZA HEKMATI, SAYING:<br/> "My name is Amir Mirza Hekmati".<br/> Under the country's Islamic law, espionage can be punishable by death.<br/> Hekmati, a 28-year-old of Iranian descent, was arrested in December.<br/> Iran's Intelligence Ministry accused him of receiving training at U.S. bases in Afghanistan and Iraq.<br/> Iranian officials say Hekmati admitted to having links to the CIA, but he said he had no intention of harming Iran.<br/> Judiciary officials were not available for comment.<br/> Travis Brecher, Reuters
