Voting starts slowing in Egypt's Qalyoubiya district - as runoffs in the third stage of parliamentary elections get underway on Tuesday.<br/> Only a handful of voters turned out at this polling station.<br/> But those who showed up are confident their votes will be fairly counted.<br/> (SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) ABDALLAH ABDELHAMID, SAYING:<br/> "The elections are free and fair, and we hope that the people whom we voted for will be suitable for Egypt."<br/> Banned under Hosni Mubarak, the Muslim Brotherhood has a emerged as a major winner, exploiting the first free legislative vote in decades.<br/> Islamists of various persuasions are expected to win 60 percent of the 498-seat lower house of parliament, with the Brotherhood alone taking some 40 percent.<br/> Egypt's staggered three-stage election began on November 28, and drew an unprecedented turnout.<br/> Elections for the advisory upper council, or Shura Council, are set to begin at the end of January and will continue into February.<br/> Travis Brecher, Reuters
