The beaches in Israel have been ranked by the 'Blue-Green Flag' which has listed the best and worst beaches in the country. The cleanest beaches in the country are the Achsiv beach and the beaches of Tel Baruch, and Nordau in Tel Aviv. This is according to the first reports of new organisation Blue-Green flag that is monitoring beaches in the country. In contrast, the beaches to rank worst in the country were the Caesaria port beach, which is closed to the general public and the ships beach in Netanya and Shefayam beach in the Sharon area. the new ranking system takes into consideration, cleanliness of the sea and the beach, security, public access including disabled access and says it monitors all Mediterranean beaches.
