Despite requests for kosher food from Jewish passengers traveling on the Tel Aviv London plane, British airlines EasyJet offered them ham sandwiches. With nothing else on offer the Jewish passengers were forced to fast for the duration of the four and a half hour flight until they reached their destination. An airlines spokesman expressed both regret and embarrassment for the incident saying it appears a mistake was made and the incorrect food loaded prior to the flight.
