Nick Nolte's work on "Warrior" has earned him an Oscar nomination for best supporting actor. The 70-year old star said he didn't expect the nod and was pleasantly surprised.<br/> SOUNDBITE: Nick Nolte saying (English):<br/> "It's a nice icing on the cake. In fact, it's a treat to be 70 and still be working. To get a nomination, I didn't imagine that. I didn't expect it, so it's nice."<br/> While the three-time nominee is grateful for the Academy's recognition, he said he is more focused on the work that he puts out.<br/> SOUNDBITE: Nick Nolte saying (English):<br/> "It's not so much the validation. I think the validation is just an extra bonus on it. It's the feeling that you're still doing something that's connected to the human heart."<br/> In the supporting Oscar category, Nolte will go against Jonah Hill, Christopher Plummer, Max von Sydow, and Kenneth Branagh.
