A bomb attack on the house of an Iraqi policeman killed 10 people as they slept early Thursday.<br/> The attackers planted bombs around the outside walls of the house shortly after 1 am near Hilla in central Iraq.<br/> One man who lives nearby says the violence needs to stop.<br/> (SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) ABU WISSAM, MUSSAYAB RESIDENT, SAYING:<br/> "We thought that the situation would improve with time and there would be reconciliation and the government would help people but the situation is getting worse. We call upon all honourable and patriotic people in this country to help solve this crisis and stop disputes about positions, giving citizens a chance to live."<br/> Northern Hilla was one of the main strongholds of al Qaeda during the war with the United States.<br/> In Iraq's northern city of Kirkuk a bomb planted on a three-wheeled motorcycle killed three people and wounded six others.<br/> Police said the attack took place in a local market, and also caused considerable property damage.<br/> While violence has fallen sharply in Iraq since it was at worst five years ago, bombings, assassinations and other attacks still occur daily.<br/> Travis Reed, Reuters
