Britain's Queen plants tree for her Diamond Jubilee

ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />STORY: Britain's Queen Elizabeth planted an oak tree on Friday (February 3) to mark her 60 years on the throne.<br/> <br />The event was part of a project that aims to create new woods across the country to commemorate her Diamond Jubilee.<br/> <br />Accompanied by her daughter, Princess Anne, the Queen planted the oak on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk in the presence of school children.<br/> <br />Princess Anne told the gathering that trees formed a part of royal celebrations. "There is another one here which was planted for your coronation by the Duke of Edinburgh, which sadly you wouldn't have seen today - Coronation Avenue - here on the estate. I literally grew up with those trees. And there is something very special about that as a form of celebration. It is literally engraved on people's memories. And I am sure that these Diamond Jubilee woods would be the same," she said.<br/> <br />A million trees are expected to be planted under the project in February alone.
