Protesters are out en masse for the fifth consecutive day in downtown Cairo.<br/> <br />Police fire tear gas, bird shot and rubber bullets.<br/> <br />Demonstrators respond by hurling stones.<br/> <br />They're calling for civil disobedience if the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces does not meet their demands, which include the handover of power to a civilian government and compensation for families of those killed in clashes.<br/> <br />Egypt's army-backed government said it was preparing to move ousted President Hosni Mubarak to a Cairo prison hospital in an apparent bid to calm protests, but the move has failed to quell the unrest.<br/> <br />The latest wave of violence began when at least 74 people were killed after a soccer match in the Mediterranean city of Port Said.<br/> <br />Many of the demonstrators believe that Egypt's security forces are responsible for the deaths.<br/> <br />Travis Brecher, Reuters
