ROUGH CUT - NO REPORTER NARRATION<br/> <br />PLEASE NOTE: REUTERS IS UNABLE TO INDEPENDENTLY VERIFY THE CONTENTS OF THIS VIDEO, WHICH HAS BEEN OBTAINED FROM A SOCIAL MEDIA WEBSITE.<br/> <br />An activist with dual nationality, Syrian and British, appeals for U.N. intervention in one of a series of narrated videos uploaded onto a social media website.<br/> <br />Activist and video blogger Danny Abduldayem, 22 years old, purportedly filmed videos in the Baba Amro district of Homs, which has experienced heavy shelling in recent days.<br/> <br />His posts document daily occurrences in a city which journalists have limited access to.<br/> <br />"This is the life we have gotten used to - rockets, bullets killing children dead in the street, body parts. Why isn't the world helping us? Where is the humanity in the world?"<br/> <br />Abduldayem says in one video uploaded onto a social media website, as he points to black smoke billowing into the sky. Another explosion can be heard followed by the ringing of gunfire in the background, as Abduldayem continues:<br/> <br />"This is Syria, Homs, Baba Amro, this is one neighbourhood. Imagine what is going on all over Syria then. This is one neighbourhood in Homs."<br/> <br />Tanks amassed outside opposition neighbourhoods in Homs on Friday as Alawite-led forces bombarded the Syrian city for the fifth day and residents expected a major push to subdue the centre of revolt against President Bashar al-Assad's rule.<br/> <br />Assad, bolstered by Russian support, ignored appeals from world leaders to halt the carnage.
