(ROUGH CUT - NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />Grammy-winning singer Whitney Houston's body was removed early on Sunday (February 12) from the Beverly Hills hotel where she was found dead the day before.<br/> <br />The cause of her death is still unknown.<br/> <br />Houston, 48, had been staying on the fourth floor of the Beverly Hilton where she was expected to attend the annual pre-Grammy award party thrown by her career mentor, music executive Clive Davis.<br/> <br />Beverly Hills police said they were called to the Beverly Hilton at around 3:43 p.m. local time, and fire department personnel who were already at the location responded immediately.<br/> <br />Houston was pronounced dead at 3:55 p.m. local time.<br/> <br />Crowds of media personnel and fans gathered in the hotel's parking lot to catch a snapshot or a glance of the white coroner's van departing with Houston's body, shortly after midnight.<br/> <br />The body was taken to the Los Angeles County Coroner's office for examination.
