Thurles born Una Healy emerged as the winner with a song entitled "Every Melody" which she co-wrote with Owen Brady. This was the second time for Una Healy to take home the "Gannon Brothers Crystal trophy" and the IMRO cheque for €1,000. Una first won this contest in 2003 and since then she has become a celebrity on the national stage.
