ROUGH CUT: NO REPORTER NARRATION<br/> <br />A bus carrying dozens of British tourists went off the road in eastern France and crashed into a ditch early on Sunday (February 19), killing one man and injuring 23 other people.<br/> <br />The accident happened in Chalons-en-Champagne when the bus was travelling from Italy to Birmingham in England.<br/> <br />According to French media, 23 people were injured, five of them seriously - including a British teenager. The cause of the accident was unclear.<br/> <br />A French police officer said the driver had lost control of his vehicle which had left the road.<br/> <br />Police said he was among the injured and would be questioned as part of the investigation.<br/> <br />British media said the coach was carrying school children returning from a skiing trip in Italy.
