Malaria is endemic in Sierra Leone.<br /><br />4,000 nets were distributed in a series of villages in the Malen chiefdom in Pujehun district, in the east of the country. This is a rural area in dense tropical rainforest. The distribution will achieve blanket coverage of all sleeping spaces.<br /><br />The chiefdom is divided into 10 sections containing 45 villages. The sections targeted with this batch of nets are: Taukunor, Korwa, Bahoin and Seijeila.
