An eight-year-old girl shot by another pupil at a Washington state elementary school is rushed to hospital by air ambulance.<br/> <br />Police took a boy of nine into custody over the incident in the city of Bremerton.<br/> <br />The girl was shot shortly before school ended for the day.<br/> <br />It happened in a classroom at the Armin Jahr elementary school.<br/> <br />Staff at the Harbourview Medical Center in Seattle where the wounded girl was taken declined to release any details about her condition.<br/> <br />Paul Chapman, Reuters
