Jeremy Lin rarely played in his rookie year and was assigned to the NBA Development League (D-League) three different times. He was cut by The Golden State Warriors as well as the Houston Rockets the following preseason before joining the New York Knicks early in the 2011–12 year. He was once more assigned to the Developmental league and continued to play sparingly.
