Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez arrives in Cuba for surgery on what doctors fear could be pelvic cancer.<br/> <br />The charismatic leader was met by in Havana by Cuban leader Raul Castro.<br/> <br />Chavez, who had treatment for cancer last year, was scheduled Saturday to undergo a series of tests after doctors found a lesion on his pelvis.<br/> <br />The revelation has touched off a wave of speculation about who would replace Chavez if he's unanble to continue as president.<br/> <br />The often contraversial leader has run Venezuela since 1998.<br/> <br />Analysts say even a weakened Chavez would be a formidable candidate in the presidential election set for October.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (Spanish) POLITICAL ANALYST, JESSE CHACON<br/> <br />"There is no one today who possesses Chavez's connection with vast sectors of Venezuelan society.
