ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />STORY: Protesters calling for reforms in Chile's restive and isolated Aysen region clashed with police in capital Santiago on Tuesday.<br/> <br />Police used water cannons and tear gas on the group of approximately 500 protesters who were marching along the Paseo Ahumada, one of Santiago's main thoroughfares. Protests were also reported at several locations in the Aysen region itself.<br/> <br />Chile has been rocked by two weeks of protests in Aysen, which last week led to the temporary closure of port facilities and many roads, including one leading to the Cerro Bayo silver mine which is owned by Canada's Mandalay Resources.<br/> <br />The protesters in Aysen, organized by the Social Movement for the Aysen Region, or MSPRA, are calling for a number of healthcare and educational reforms.
