At least three people died in Tennessee during storms and possible tornadoes from a system moving from the Midwest to the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast states.<br/> <br />The death toll from the storm system now stands at 12.<br/> <br />Late-afternoon violent weather swept across middle Tennessee and slammed especially hard into the Cumberland Plateau region east of Nashville.<br/> <br />Aerial views show the extent of the damage.
