ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />STORY: Pope Benedict XVI made a rare visit to a parish in southern Rome on Sunday , where he was greeted by a crowd of children chanting "Long Live the Pope."<br/> <br />The pope was scheduled to give a homily at the parish of San Giovanni Battista de La Salle, but he made the unusual move of walking down a local street first to see the crowd.<br/> <br />During the mass later, he urged better religious education for the youth, saying 'religious illiteracy' was one of the greatest problems facing the world today.
