People in Bangkok watch as fire flickers around the windows of the Grand Park Avenue hotel.<br/> <br />Hospital officials said one Russian woman was killed through smoke inhalation, and 21 other people were injured in the blaze.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (English) TOURIST FROM FINLAND ILKKA RANKAMA SAYING:<br/> <br />"I was up in my room at that time, on the 16th floor and I started smelling smoke. And I just put on my clothes and went out as soon as possible. I took the emergency staircase and the smoke was getting thicker and thicker."<br/> <br />Firefighters said it took about 20 minutes to put out the fire, which broke out on the fifth floor of the hotel some time before 10pm.<br/> <br />All guests were evacuated from the 17-floor building and moved to other hotels in the area, which is a popular hangout for tourists and expats.<br/> <br />Police said it wasn't yet known how the fire started.<br/> <br />Nick Rowlands, Reuters.
