Flames engulf a truck in the Mexican city of Guadalajara.<br/> <br />The blaze was set by gunmen from a drug cartel and was part of an effort to paralyze traffic across this city of 4.5 million.<br/> <br />It came just hours after the Mexican army arrested an alleged narcotics kingpin - Erik Valencia Salazar.<br/> <br />The raid was part of a campaign by Mexico's leaders to stamp out the illegal narcotics trade and the violence that comes with it.<br/> <br />Last november, cartel members killed 26 people and dumped their bodies in the centre of Gaudalajara.<br/> <br />And about 50,000 people have died in drug-related violence in Mexico over the last five years.<br/> <br />Andrew Raven, Reuters
