It was a wild and wacky day in Hollywood on Tuesday (March 20) as the Muppets received the 2,466th star on the Walk of Fame.<br/> <br />Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and a host of other Muppet notables were on hand to accept the honor - in a fanfare celebration with screaming crowds and confetti raining from above.<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE: Kermit the Frog saying (English):<br/> <br />"Hi everyone. Thank you for coming. I want to say on behalf of the Muppets that we are just really happy to be here on Hollywood Boulevard today joining some of the greatest names in showbiz."<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE: Fozzi Bear Saying (English) :<br/> <br />"Yeah, like Milton Berle."<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE: Walter saying (English):<br/> <br />"And Don Knotts."<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE: Miss Piggy Saying (English):<br/> <br />"Or like Joan Crawford, or Bette Davis or Norma Desmond."<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE: Kermit the Frog saying (English):<br/> <br />"Actually, Piggy, Norma Desmond is a fictional star."<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE: Miss Piggy Saying (English):<br/> <br />"Aren't they all?"<br/> <br />Kermit was joined by Lisa and Brian Henson, the daughter and son of Muppets creator Jim Henson.<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE: Lisa Henson, daughter of Muppets creator Jim Henson, saying (English):<br/> <br />"As the Muppets once sang, 'Look at us. Here we are. Right where we belong.' and yes they do belong thanks to the lovers and dreamers and you the fans."<br/> <br />Kermit's first TV appearance was in 1955.
